One idea a week for seeing your work differently.

You probably don't need another newsletter. You probably need one good idea.

The kind that gives you a wonderful little insight on a Sunday over a nice pot of tea, and sets you up to look at your week and think:

Oh. That's what's going on.

Because most people who care about their work already know it could be better. The thinking could be sharper. The idea could move more smoothly towards value. The meeting could be less pointless. The thing you've been trying to explain for six months could finally make sense.

And perhaps, most importantly, that your finite human resources of time, energy and attention could, and should, count for more.

The answer isn't usually to work harder. It's to see the work differently. That's what Meeting Notes is for.

Once a week, I send one idea from my desk to yours – something I've noticed, tested, read, made, got wrong, or spent an astonishing amount of time thinking about.

Ideas about doing better work. Communicating more clearly. Making things people actually care about. Creating the climate for good thinking and creativity. Getting better business results without sacrificing human growth.

Sometimes we lean more practical, sometimes more observational, sometimes a little funny. Always something you can take into the week.

Just one good idea, clearly expressed, once a week.

A few minutes of thinking that might change what you see when you get back to work.

From my desk to yours.

What arrives with your first email

Your welcome email brings two things I've made for you.

A welcome guide to begin. A short, carefully designed and made introduction to the work — and a way of looking at your own week a little differently. Includes a lovely essay on why we still admire the design studios of the past - and what that means for designing workspaces of the now.

A copy of the Zero to Keynote conference speaker's checklist. A full, detailed, useful and actionable checklist for all the stages of conference speaking, from ideation to submission, to design, to prep and onwards.

After that, the letter arrives each Sunday, one idea at a time.

Go deeper – Studio

If you want to go further, there's Studio.

Included is The Department of Interesting Things – a monthly edition from Studio that starts with an object and explores a concept around it. Consider it a mini-masterclass every month. The first two editions are open to everyone; the rest live in Studio.

You also get the full Idea to Value Practitioner's Handbook, Studio-only essays, a direct line to me and, importantly, it's also the way the public work stays public.
